God created the family as the foundation for our lives. We believe that healthy families in healthy community will change the world.
"God places the lonely in families; He leads out the prisoners with singing!” Psalm 68:6a
God has created us for family! The family unit is God's plan for bringing transformation to society. We pray that our families ministry is a place of encouragement, refreshment, and strength to become the family you are called to be!
Our lifegroups are the best way to get involved! These lifegroups include connection, worship, and discussing God's word. There is also care for the children, so they can have an encouraging time as well! If interested in checking out a lifegroup, please contact Ben Wickel.
TESTIMONIES
From the Omans... "Our family moved to Raleigh from the Seattle area at the end of 2013. We visited Antioch Community Church and felt God calling us to plant our family there. It just felt like home. It has been such a joy to be a part of the growth of this vibrant, holy-spirit filled family. We are building strong friendships. We are being discipled and getting to disciple others. We are worshipping God and doing life together. Every week we look forward to what God is going to do in and through our Antioch family."
From a family in Lifegroup... "I grew up being OK with worship and really just sort of going through the motions of the familiar songs. I find myself craving that authentic spirit led worship now. It was so unique to experience that. I'm part of a women's Bible study on post and we always sing 2 songs at the beginning and today I just had tears streaming down my face. It was so good to connect with God in that way and I wanted to start crying out. I was thinking of Brad and many others at Antioch who would cry out to God. I also felt moved to start going around the room and praying with specific people. That is not the environment I'm in but I felt challenged by the Lord to maybe create some of that here. I'm still a bit bashful about it all but my worship times in private have been so much more meaningful. I find myself closing myself in a room and singing praises to God on my knees. Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for the many influences you had on me and my family. I mean, the dividends are still being reaped miles away. The way you all discipled us was like nothing we had ever experienced. I know God has us where we are now for a reason. We learned so much in Raleigh."
